The Summer Mixed Case 2015

£79.00

Options:

SERVE a glass from The Ivy at your summer soirée, or take a little Quo Vadis to that barbecue!

A superb summer selection, the 2015 mixed case is the perfect mix of three popular and versatile bottles trusted by some of central London’s most high profile restaurants. All relatively low in alcohol, so light enough to indulge in perhaps a little more than usual.

2x Domaine de Montrose La Balade 2014

Rosé, 13% vol

Firstly, introducing a beautiful new rosé: La Balade is a blend of Grenache, Rolle and Syrah, and is an elegant and light rosé, perfect for long summer lunches, which is why it is currently rosé of choice when sitting at one of the coveted sunny tables outside Soho’s Quo Vadis.

Perfect with grilled fish such as red mullet, and Provençal vegetable dishes, like sautéed red peppers or ratatouille.

Currently suggested as a pairing with the White Asparagus, Onion and orange dish at Gauthier Soho.

2 x Moulin de Gassac, Mas de Daumas Classique Rouge 2013

Red, 12% vol

Moulin de Gassac needs no introduction, chosen as a ‘Classic Red’ the legendary and recently reopened The Ivy, (£27.25 per bottle) and given the esteemed badge of honour as ‘House Red’ at the wonderful Bob Bob Ricard in Soho.

Made from a blend of 45% Syrah, 30% Carignan, 15% Mourvèdre and 10% Grenache, Le Classique from the Moulin de Gassac is a fruity wine, rounded and soft with wild berries notes. It is a well balanced wine with hints of red fruity jam and a touch of pepper which goes very well with barbecued meats. Moulin de Gassac is currently suggested at Gauthier Soho to complement our Classic Game Bird Terrine.

2 x Chateau Clément Termes Gaillac Blanc 2014

White, 12.5 % vol

Chateau Clement Termes 2014 is a Gauthier Wines best seller which lots of you will be already familiar with. Currently served for lunch at Gauthier Soho with our Crab & Sea Trout Salad and Scottish Scallops, Gaillac Sec 2014 will go very well with all classic crustacean and seafood or dry cheeses such as Ossau Iraty (sheep) or St Maure (goat). Will improve for up to four years.

Currently listed at many of London’s best restaurants, notably Mayfair’s Michelin-starred Brasserie Chavot, Galvin Brothers’ Michelin-starred Galvin La Chapelle and Bistrot de Luxe, Columbia Road favourite Brawn and Mayfair’s Sixty One.
