Montravel is a tiny area in the hills north of the Dordogne providing some of Bergerac’s finest whites.
Domaine de Perreau 2013 is an interesting blend - 80% Sauvignon shows on the aroma, but the addition of 20% Semillion gives an extra structure with a dash of honey on the palate.
It is a dry, floral and aromatic white wine, the nose reveals intense white flowers such as jasmin, exotic fruits and grapefruit aromas. In the mouth, it is rounded, and has a good balance between dryness and creaminess.
Domaine de Perreau will be excellent as an apéritif or to compliment fish served with a beurre blanc or champagne sauce. It is currently served at Gauthier with our duck foie gras, butterfly pasta & chicken jus.
We recommend serving Domaine de Perreau at temperatures between 10-12°C, so it’s great for autumn as it doesn’t need to be too chilled. It will keep and improve for 2 years or more.
