Made from a blend of 60% Colombard, 20% Sauvignon and 20% of Gros Manseng, this white Côtes de Gascogne is an aromatic and elegant crisp wine, with notes of tropical fruit, pineapple and grapefruit.
Interestingly, Domaine de Menard grapes grow in soil rich in seashells, giving to the wine its mineral backbone and also its maritime name : Cuvée Marine. The estate Domaine de Menard is situated on the famous Via Podensis, a road taken for centuries by pilgrims on their way to Saint Jacques de Compostelle.
This wine will be the perfect accompaniment for white fish, shellfish, roasted pork or aromatic poultry dishes.
Recently awarded a Gold Medal at the Wine International Competition of Paris and given 3 Stars in the Guide Hachette Book, it is without any surprise trusted by some of the best sommeliers in London.
Currently listed at Clerkenwell's Bistrot Bruno Loubet, one-Michelin-starred Mayfair restaurant Brasserie Chavot, Hackney's Brawn, Covent Garden restaurants L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon, The Delaunay and Terroir, Gordon Ramsay's restaurant Maze and York & Albany.
