"Terre de Mistral", Les Vignerons D'Estezargues, Côtes du Rhône, 2015

Named after the Mistral - famous wind that blows the Rhône Valley to the Mediterranean, Terre de Mistral is a medium-bodied blend, made from 50% Grenache and 50% Carignan , by the co-operative Les Vignerons d'Estézargues.

It offers ripe, red/dark fruit aromas with characteristic spicy black pepper and garrigue herbs such as rosemary and thyme notes, so goes with meaty stew, grilled fish and roasted vegetables.

Trusted as a classic unfiltered Côtes du Rhône on the highly praised wine lists at East Dulwich's fashionable artisan small plates bistro Toast ED, East London’s trendy Beagle (£25 per bottle) & Prescott & Conran's famous Redchurch Street restaurant Boundary (£28)
