6x Le Mazet - Domaine de Nizas 2015
60% Sauvignon Blanc, 40% Viognier
£14.67 per bottle • 13% Vol
Domaine de Nizas is located in the South of France, on the outskirts of the village of Nizas near Pézenas, in the heart of the historic Languedoc region. One of the huge success stories of the last 20 years, Domain de Nizas was the brainchild of Franco-American John Goelet, himself famous for establishing Clos Du Val in Napa and Taltarni and Clover Hill in Australia. The estate was purchased in 1998 with Goelet identifying the exceptional terroir of Pézenas as the ideal site to craft high-quality artisanal wines that express the spirit of the Mediterranean. The investment paid off, with the first vintage receiving an extraordinary 91/100 points from The Wine Spectator.
Le Mazet de Sallèles, a blend of 60% Sauvignon Blanc, 40% Viognier, (100% estate grown grapes) is pale straw in color with an intense bouquet of mandarins, white flowers and notes of citrus zests. This wine seduces with its pleasant acidity, tender roundness and a lively finish.
This wine is made for sipping as an aperitif or as a perfect accompaniment to fresh & sweet green vegetables, light seafood or goat's cheese. Serve chilled. We're currently offering Le Mazet de Sallèles as a pairing with the Spring Pea Velouté, Pea & Confit Lemon ‘Ravioli’, Pea Shoot & Black Radish Salad dish on the Gauthier Soho tasting menu.
