6x Château Ricaud 2011

Sold Out

Spotted by our own wine buyer Damian Sanchez as a ‘real wine punching above its weight’, we were astonished at how great value this Bordeaux really is.

The tasting notes we agree with:
'The benchmark in Cotes de Bordeaux wines, well balanced fruit and oak, smooth and fleshy on the palate and perfectly integrated tannins.'

Perfect with light white meats such as veal or poultry, even lamb wouldn’t be too rich. Earthy flavours such as mushrooms and root vegetables, also a great wine to drink on its own.

Currently paired with the Poularde de Bresse on the New Spring A La Carte Menu at Gauthier Soho.

A wine very popular in London restaurants, notably Mayfair’s enduring classic Quaglino’s (listed at £45 per bottle), and - recently reviewed by The Guardian’s Marina O’Loughlin - Smithfield Market French favourite Cafe Du Marché (£35).

Gauthier Wines can offer you Château de Ricaud 2011 for just £13 per bottle.
