This super Languedoc Grenache/Syrah blend is perfect. The flat clay limestone terrain of the area brings a fresh minerality, a light sharpness, not too rich, juicy and very pleasant on the nose, with notes of blackberry, cherry and other wild berries.
The juiciness of the Grenache offsets perfectly the fine spiciness of the Syrah.
Works well with light red meats and poultry, and is especially good alongside something with a little spice.
