A classic restaurant Bordeaux Superieur trusted by The Wolseley, The Delaunay, Daphne's South Ken, Gauthier Soho

The idea of a great Bordeaux is such a huge topic it would take all day to even begin to summarise an opinion, but as a French restaurant in Soho we’re under enormous pressure to offer a fantastic Bordeaux at a great price point. This is an unusually good one.

Loyal customers might remember Chateau La Grave Singalier from our seasonal selection box back in 2014, it must have had more requests for re-order than any other wine that year! The 2016 is no exception.

From vineyards on the banks of the River Garonne, this wine misses out on the legendary Graves appellation by only 200 metres. Soft and fruity with an attractive cedary fragrance.

‘A beautiful quality and great value for money medium body red. The Cabernet Sauvignon gives a well-known blackcurrant and tobacco note familiar with Bordeaux. Never any complaints with this bottle’. - Marco Veronesi, Gauthier Soho

‘Fantastic value for money’ - Selfridges Wine Shop

At Gauthier Soho we are suggesting Chateau La Grave Singalier with all rich red meats and game such as the fabulous Anjou Pigeon with Roasted Kentish Carrot, Swiss Chard & Blood Orange or the succulent Berkshire Pork Belly with spice quince, Roasted Celeriac & Pork Jus.

Don’t just trust our opinion! We’ve noticed Chateau La Grave Singalier is trusted at no other than The Wolseley in Piccadilly, The Delaunay at Aldwych, and also South Kensington stalwart Daphne’s.
